Join us for our annual December Party event! It’s become a tradition now – for the fourth year in a row we’ll be celebrating in the luxury private suite at The Blackbird.
The private suite at The Blackbird is gorgeous: there is lots of seating, lots of space to walk around and chat, a movie screen and even a pool table. And best of all – it’s all ours for the night!
As is the custom with our December event, this one will be a party! You can walk around and taste delicious wines, nibble on the Blackbird’s yummy treats, and share a laugh or two with your fellow BCWAS members.
The Blackbird has a great location, too – only steps away from Burrard Skytrain Station, so it’s easy to get to, and we’ll give you a transit ticket to get home for free.
You all know we’ve been stashing some great wines in the BCWAS cellar, and for this event, we’re pulling some of them out, including three decade-old beauties! Come along and try these gems:
Don’t forget to bring some cash with you – we’ll be having a raffle for a special bottle and for a free BCWAS membership.
We hope you can join us, and start your holiday season the best way – with wine, food, and friends!
Date: Friday, December 16, 2016
Time: 7:30 – 9:30 pm
Place: Blackbird Public House (3rd Floor Private Suite), 905 Dunsmuir Street (enter through the restaurant, and take the elevator upstairs)
Price: $59 members / $75 guests
The Holiday Party is now SOLD OUT, please send waitlist requests to email@example.com.
And, if you’re trying to find a gift for the wine lover on your list, why not consider a 2017 membership to your favourite wine club, the BC Wine Appreciation Society? It’s a fabulous value, for only $40! Even better, if the membership starts in January, it’s good until March 2018 – a three-month bonus!

I am very pleased to have been part of BCWAS almost right from the beginning – my first event was BCWAS’s third tasting, and I’ve been involved ever since! I am thrilled with all the support that we have from all of the wonderful owners and winemakers in our beautiful province, and of course, BCWAS couldn’t exist without you. Cheers, and see you at the next tasting!
