Join us for another great October party that we are calling the “Cellar-bration” - we’ll be enjoying some great BC wines in the luxury private upstairs room at one of our favourite venues, The Blackbird, including some superb examples from the BCWAS cellar.
The private room at The Blackbird is gorgeous! There is lots of seating, lots of space to walk around and chat, and even a pool table. And best of all – it’s all ours for the night!
As is the custom with our October event, this one will be a party! You can walk around and taste delicious wines, nibble on the Blackbird’s many tasty treats, and share a laugh or two with your fellow BCWAS members.
The Blackbird has a great location, too – only steps away from Burrard Skytrain Station, so it’s easy to get to, and we’ll give you a transit ticket to get home for free!
You all know we’ve been stashing some great wines in the BCWAS cellar, and for this event, we’re pulling some of them out! Come along and try these gems:
Blue Mountain Brut
La Frenz 2012 Vivant
Laughing Stock 2014 Pinot Gris
Ruby Blues 2014 Viognier (Lt-Gov Award-winner)
50th Parallel 2013 Chardonnay (Lt-Gov Award-winner)
Le Vieux Pin 2014 Vaila Rose
Stoneboat 2013 Pinot Noir
Poplar Grove 2010 Merlot
Red Rooster 2012 Reserve Syrah
Hester Creek 2011 Reserve Cabernet Franc
Black Hills 2006 Nota Bene
Forbidden Fruit 2014 Caught Apricot Mistelle
That’s TWO Lieutenant Governor's Award of Excellence winners, and many more exciting aged wines from the cellar!

I am very pleased to have been part of BCWAS almost right from the beginning – my first event was BCWAS’s third tasting, and I’ve been involved ever since! I am thrilled with all the support that we have from all of the wonderful owners and winemakers in our beautiful province, and of course, BCWAS couldn’t exist without you. Cheers, and see you at the next tasting!
